Funeral services for Charlotte Goyne Thomas are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, November 6, 2020, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette and Rev. Dale Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Thomas, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the age of eighty-one. She is survived by her children, David Thomas and wife Kathryn of Mer Rouge, LA, Steve Thomas and wife Becky of West Monroe, LA; brother, Jerry Wayne Goyne and wife Pat of Mer Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Sherrel Wellbrink and husband Chris, Chad Thomas and wife Tifani, Blake Thomas and wife Laura; great-grandchildren, Avery Wellbrink, Landon Wellbrink, Michaela Thomas, Amelia Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Thomas; parents, W.H. “Bo” and Alberta Payne Goyne; and brother, Houston Goyne.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Barham, Mike Goyne, Richard Byrd, Don White, Heath Eppinette, and Dickey Cupit. Honorary pallbearers will be Acie Orr, Pat Jones, and Dale Page.
