Obituary of Erin Brooke DeBlieux

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Erin Brooke DeBlieux of Bracey, VA, formerly of Bastrop, LA, will be held on November 21st at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Golden Funeral Home. Erin was born on March 22, 1984 and passed away on November 8, 2020 surrounded by her family at her home in Bracey, VA. Erin fought through many obstacles in her life including numerous heart surgeries, a stroke at the young age of four, and this final battle with cancer. Erin had a loving spirit and a heart of gold. She loved her family, friends and her furbabies. She never met a stranger and always had a big smile and a hug for everyone she met. She loved to travel, talk on the phone with friends, doing crafts and meeting people. Erin is survived by her parents, Larry and Tia DeBlieux of Bastrop, her brothers Derek DeBlieux of New Orleans, LA, Dr. Tyler DeBlieux, his wife Kelsey and their son Jackson Avery of Savannah, GA, Maternal Grandmother, Bonnie Sims of Bastrop, Paternal Grandparents, W.V. & Joy DeBlieux of Bastrop, Fiancé Tim Flanigan and his sons Abe and Noah of Bracey, VA, Uncles Brett Sims and girlfriend Peggy Gilpatrick of Bastrop, David Sims and wife Melanie of Hamburg, AR, Aunt Cindy Hendrix and husband Glen of Bastrop along with numerous cousins, close friends, and a special furbaby, Brutus. Erin was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, David Joe Sims and Aunt Donna Kay DeBlieux. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of the Team Erin supporters - “Be Strong and Courageous” (Joshua 1:9). In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Humane Society of Bastrop in honor of Erin Brooke DeBlieux.
