Obituary of Tessie Orelia Havens Robinson

A memorial funeral service for Mrs. Tessie Orelia Havens Robinson is scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, November 15, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. David Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 PM - 2 PM service time at Goldens.
Mrs. Robinson formerly of Bastrop, passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of eighty-seven. She loved animals, especially her cats. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, reading but above all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth “Anna” Cockrell and husband Kevin, Dolores Robinson Hawthorne and husband Harry; sister-in-law, Cloma Ruth Mayberry and husband R.L.; special friend and sister-in-love, Delores Rogers; grandchildren, Candice Cain, Megan Hawthorne, Priscilla Tess Wilkins, Dr. Harry “Trey” Hawthorne III, Dianna Lee, Danna Edgeworth, Charity Nugent, Faith Robinson, Dustin Robinson, Laken Robinson, and Bobby Robinson; numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Robinson is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lavaughn Robinson; son, Danny Von Robinson; grandsons, Denny Jenkins, Michael Shane Hart; parents, Luther Halbert “Shorty” and Orelia Havens; and brother, Jerry Halbert Havens.
The family requests memorial donations may be made to: River City Cat Rescue at 5302 Desiard St., Monroe, LA 71203.
