Obituary of Gayle Gregory

Funeral services for Mrs. Gayle Gregory, age eighty, will be held in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2 PM with Bro. Britt Dupree and Bro. Phillip McCready officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Gregory, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. Mrs. Gregory was a very active member of Central Missionary Baptist Church where she was known and cherished by all. She had a special love for the live drive through Nativity at Central, which she dedicated so much of her time. She enjoyed teaching her Sunday School Class and loved all of her church family. Mrs. Gregory loved being in her yard, tending to flowers and bird watching. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her family dearly. Mrs. Gregory will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Bill Gregory; daughter, Debbie McCready and husband Phillip; son, Greg Gregory and wife Laura; and four grandchildren, Aaron McCready, Caleb McCready, Megan Gregory, and Melissa Gregory. Mrs. Gregory is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Jeffcoats and Agnes Degges. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Legg, Lynn Moore, Rodney Hopkins, Jay Johnson, Jimmy Straughn, Aaron McCready, Caleb McCready, Mike Adair, David Ingram, Micah Ingram, and Darin LeBleu. Honorary pallbearers will be The Social Security Hounds and men of Central Missionary Baptist Church, The Family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
