Obituary of Kenneth "Kenny" Reed Gandy

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Reed Gandy, age 59, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Kennedy and Bro. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Tillou Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Goldens. Kenny came in to this world on August 13, 1961 to parents, Thomas Reed and Betty Gandy. He entered his Heavenly Home on December 5, 2020. Kenny worked in Industrial cleaning with Hydro Services and as a mechanic with Cotten Tractor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. He loved his Lord and Savior, family and many friends. He was a true friend, always there for others in times of need. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Alice Gandy, A.D. and Nellie Littleton; his dad, Thomas Reed Gandy; stepfather, Harry McCullough and a niece, Whitney Barnes. Kenny is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pam Gandy; sons, Trey Ogima and wife Tara, Reed Gandy; mother, Betty Gandy McCullough; sisters, Debbie Rountree and husband Jason, Teresa Barnes and husband Ricky; brother, Robbie Gandy and wife Nita and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers are: sons, Trey Ogima and Reed Gandy; nephews, Hunter Gandy, Dylan Gandy, Matt Gandy and friend, Mike Blakely. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bubba Bryan, Mark Davis, Julian Bayless, Dago Allen, and the fellow hunters of Tillou Hunting Club.
