Mr. Daniel Matherne, age 71, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020. Daniel was born and raised in Bayou Gauche and a resident of Mer Rouge. Daniel was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carol Matherne; daughters, Denise Arnold, Jamie Findley (Charles), Jenny Verdin (Josh); sons, Todd Matherne (Hollie), Daniel Matherne, Jr., Jason Lirette (Crystal); sister, Joyce Dean; brothers, Gayle Matherne, Bryan Matherne, Darrell Matherne, Thilman Matherne; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Thillman and Lucile Matherne; sister, Florence Bergeron and two brothers, Richard Matherne and Lee Matherne.
