John Wesley Wilson III, a veteran of the United States Navy, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at the age of seventy-eight. He was a printer, train enthusiast, precious stone and mineral miner, jewelry maker, oil painter, and photographer. Mr. Wilson loved Star Wars and animals of all kinds. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew him.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Dianne LaVigne Wilson; sister, Beth Wilson DeVille of Bastrop, LA; nephews, Mark DeVille and wife Stephanie of Owasso, OK, Matthew DeVille and wife Beth of Baton Rouge, LA; great nephews, Drew and Jake DeVille; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie E. And Cheryl Morris LaVigne of Swartz, LA; nephew, Ronnie “Sonny” and Jamie Murphy LaVigne; great nephew, Gabe LaVigne of Columbia, LA; special cousin, Jimmy Dale Wilson and wife Regina of Monroe, LA; special friend, Larry Akins of Collinston, LA; special nieces, Jean Lott of Helena, MT, June Hink of Satsuma, AL, Joanne Rafada of Mobile, AL, and her daughter, Chloe, and Jennifer Hink of Mobile, AL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Jr. and Gladys Wilson; brother, Clarence A. Hink and wife Sue; brother-in-law, Billy Don DeVille, and cousin, Charlotte Fortner.
