Obituary of Thomas Charles "T.C." Parks

A memorial service for Mr. Thomas Charles “T.C.” Parks will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Trinity Assembly of God with Rev. Stanley Thrift officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service, beginning at 1PM. Services will be under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Charlie, an United States Air Force and Army Veteran, was born on July 6, 1940, and passed away December 13, 2020, at the age of eighty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Charlie served as a pastor and evangelist for many, many years. His love of Jesus was evident with everyone he met. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature. He felt he was closest to the Lord when he was outdoors. He was also a great fisherman who loved fishing with his son, Pat. Charlie’s entire family was the center of his universe, including his dogs. He will be greatly missed! Charlie is survived by his wife Becky Parks; a daughter, Angie Parks Meylain; a son, Pat Parks and wife Shari; a grandson, Whitney Meylain and wife Rachelle; great grandchildren, Gracie, Charli, Zoe; bonus children, Jenny Bunch, Brandon Bunch, Amy McCarver and husband Joe, Nelson Wright, Ariel Moore and husband Cy; grandchildren, Lilly, Colton, Cutter, Addy, Tilly, Sebastian, and Olive; and lifetime friends, Stanley and Melba Thrift and the Treadway family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Parks; father, Thomas Parks; first wife, Dortha Parks; and a sister, Cherry Parks Sequra. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Morehouse Parish Humane Society.
