We will love and miss Uncle David Oliver he was a great man of God and a good uncle my favorite memory of him is he and aunt mary did a Revival and him and aunt Mary and they were preaching about Jonah and the whale the last night of Revival aunt Mary told him she was getting Jonah out the belly of the whale before the service that night we were headed to church and he turns to us in the car and says girls marry a man that has one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel and Aunt Mary turned to him and said David Oliver don't tell them that and then she turned to us and said well girls when you get married time will tell is what you say instead of I do

Bro. Oliver was a great friend to Dora and me during our pastorate at First Assembly in Bastrop. He was a man of honor and integrity. Loved his gentle spirit and willingness to assist wherever needed. I wish Dora and I could be there for the service, but know that you are in our prayers at this time.

He will always be so special in our hearts. He was a lifetime Pastor to my family and I. I was saved at 15 years old under his and Sis. Oliver's ministry and he saw many of my family members come to the Lord while he was Pastor at Wisner Assembly of God. He was with us when we laughed, and when we cried, during weddings, births, and deaths. He was a friend. He married Skeeter and I thirty- eight years ago. We will miss him!

Due to circumstances we are unable to attend the memorial service of our precious Uncle David. This makes our hearts sad. Tim once again we want to say thank you for the great care you gave him. Our prayers are with you and the family. We have wonderful memories. Perhaps in the near future we can all get together and share them. I will always have the memory of Uncle David marrying Jamie and I 37 years ago. He was so happy he got to do it for us just has we were to have him do it. We will forever miss him and we love you and we will keep you in our prayers during this time. Love you bunches! Lisa and Jamie Pryor
