Obituary of Elsie Mae Atwood Knight

Funeral services for Elsie Mae Atwood Knight are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Ezra Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 noon - 1 PM service time at Goldens.
Mrs. Knight, a retired care giver and owner of Mrs. Elsie’s T.L.C. and member of First Assembly of God Church, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was a devout Christian and loved listening to Jimmy Swaggert sing and preach. Mrs. Knight shared the gospel with everyone she met. She was a devoted care giver who had a lot of extended family that she “adopted” throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Cook and husband Glen, Pamela Lilly and husband Harry; sister-in-law, Dorothy Gordy; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Knight is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Knight; sons, Gary Knight, John Knight; brothers, Jefferson and Clinton; sisters, Bernice, Evelyn, Robbie and Bobbie.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Dustin Lilly, Harrison Lilly, Michael Lilly, Jake Lilly, Wesley Knight, Lance Knight, Ryan Cook and Hunter Cook.
Honorary pallbearers are John Harrison, Matthew Knight, Ryan McLarrin and Samuel Gilbert.
