Obituary of Linda Sullivan Kilpatrick

Linda Sullivan Kilpatrick, loving Wife, Mother, Grammi, Sister, and Friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior January 25, 2021 at the age of 73. Linda was born to Earl and Bessie Sullivan on November 10th, 1947 in Forest, Louisiana . After graduating Bastrop High School, Linda went on to pursue her degree in education and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana Tech. Linda met the love of her life in her junior year of high school. She and Bill were married their sophomore year during college. Their marriage was filled with mutual love and devotion for over 53 years. Linda’s love for academics and a passion for reading kicked off a career in education and led her to be a dedicated high school English teacher for 14 years. She had a positive influence on her students and was loved by both the staff and students of Clear Lake High School. Linda also often received phone calls from her grandchildren needing help with their English papers. In addition to being a devoted Wife and loving Mother, Linda cherished spending time with her grandchildren, looked forward to book club and volunteering at church. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and her family, which she shared with those who surrounded her. The void left by her absence will be impossible to fill. Linda is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Bessie Sullivan and her sister, Shirley Lary. She is survived by her husband, William Kilpatrick; her son, Mark Kilpatrick and wife Missy; her daughter Katherine Brupbacher and husband Steve; her grandchildren, Megan and Drew Kilpatrick, Sydney and Kyla Brupbacher; her siblings, John Sullivan and wife Ivette and Wanda Morris and husband, Eddie. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Services will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11:30 am at Carter Cemetery, 7904 Collinston Rd., Bastrop, LA 71220.
