Graveside funeral services for Mr. Norman McDowell, of Bastrop, LA, will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Alan Eppinette officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM Saturday at the Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Norman McDowell was born August 18, 1943 in Jones, LA and passed away February 10, 2021 in Bastrop at the age of seventy seven. Mr. McDowell is a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He loved and enjoyed his large family. Mr. McDowell is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and May McDowell; six sisters, Faye, Opal, Ella Mae, Merrie Lynn, Mildred, Arlene; and two brothers, Thomas Ray and Gorman.
Mr. McDowell is survived by his wife, Bonnie McDowell; three sons, Norman Devon McDowell and wife Angela of West Monroe, LA, Daniel Shane McDowell and wife Christine of Plano, TX, William Darwyn McDowell of Bastrop, LA; sister-in-law, Melba McDowell of Ruston, LA; four grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Madison, and Morgan McDowell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, and nephew, George Malone.
