Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Mae Little Bamburg are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Casey Johnson officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bamburg, a retired LPN, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of ninety-eight. She was born on September 8, 1922 in Shreveport, Louisiana and lived in Northeast Louisiana in her earlier years. Following high school, she attended nursing school and she worked as a nurse for many years.
She is survived by four of her five children, Gay Sawyer (Brown) and husband Mike, Ruth Ellyn Hundley (Kasinger) and husband Chuck, John F. Hundley and wife Sheila, and Joan Elizabeth Hundley (Granville) and husband David; grandchildren, John Sawyer, Lisa Halley and husband Kevin, Michelle Brown, Chris Brown and wife Shelly, Courtney Brown and wife Kristi, Ashley Brown Hunter Lofland and wife Alana, Gillian Sherer and husband Nick, Evelyn Lofland, Shay Collinsworth and husband Cody, Dr. Ethan Hundley, M.D. and wife Lacey, Hannah Granville, Ben Granville, Melissa Granville, John Granville; twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bamburg is preceded in death by her parents, George and Dovie Little; son, Vernon G. Sawyer and wife Nancy; brother, Burl Little and sister, Estelle Lafitte.
