Obituary of Floyd H. Bonner, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Floyd H. Bonner, Jr are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Fowler and Bro. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bonner, a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. He retired from Union Pacific after forty-one years as a Railroad Conductor. He loved his grandchildren, family, friends, and also his work family. Mr. Bonner served his country in the United States Air Force with the rank of Airman Basic. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Bonner Simmons, Michelle Bonner Crymes and husband Steve; sisters, Betty Bonner Robinson and husband Rex, Inez Bonner Henderson; brothers, Larry Bonner and wife Sharon, Fred Bonner and wife Joan; grandchildren, Jodi Fontenot White and husband Shane, Jason Eric Fontenot and wife Carla, Robin Wood and husband Jonathon, Jake Hankamer and wife Stacy; great grandchildren, Erin Rene Roach, Chase White, Bentley Cobb, Cameron Cobb, Jaxon Hankamer, Lacy Hankamer, Hailie Ann Hankamer; his loyal four legged companion, Megan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Bonner is preceded in death by his parents, Floys and Helen Hemphill Bonner; wife one day shy of fifty years, Gloria Andrews Bonner; sister, Sally Bonner Muirhead; brothers, Doyle Bonner and Jerry Bonner. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Dalton Bonner, Derrick Bonner, Dennis Bonner, Cody Bonner, Kerry Bonner, and Tommy Bonner. Honorary pallbearers are Ben Wood and Roger Dale Andrews. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
