Margie Lane Grimes (nee Kilpatrick) peacefully passed from this life surrounded by the love of her two daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Grimes, her son, Mark Grimes and her parents, Cleo and Ed Kilpatrick. Margie is survived by her daughters, Susan Grimes Grand, Christi Grimes Hales and son-in-law, Robert (Hoss) Hales; grandchildren, Brandon Breland, Luke Grimes, Courtney Grimes Sperry, Tyler Hales, Mauri Hales, and Amelia Hales; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a title she loved and wore as a badge of honor. She was happiest when her family was in her home. Mrs. Margie enjoyed watching the sermon on Sunday mornings when she could no longer attend church in person. She was an avid Saints and LSU fan, always calling her children during the game. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Steve Walker, Bob Boies, Randy Rodgers, Ted Grimes, James (Bubba) Boyd, and Charles Graves. Honorary pallbearers are Mitch Grimes and Lemier Sanders. The family would like to thank Stat Home Health and Cindy Burlew, along with Premier Hospice, for their compassion and support, as well as Jason Hoskins, NP and Donna Burlew Rodgers, LPN. The family would also like to thank the best neighbors, Loyd and Jan Pennington and Charles and Peggy Graves, for the love and thoughtfulness they have shown so many times. Words cannot express our gratitude. In lieu of flowers, the family invites anyone who wishes, to make a donation to Cherry Ridge Baptist Church Media Ministries.
