Obituary of Marie Annette Berry Robinson

Funeral services for Marie Annette Berry Robinson, 83, are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, May 13, 2021, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Porter officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, beginning at 12 PM. Mrs. Robinson was born on August 8, 1937 in Baton Rouge, LA, and passed away May 10, 2021, in Houston, TX, after a brief battle with cancer. She had a deep abiding faith in her Lord, loved reading her Bible and was a devoted prayer warrior. Mrs. Robinson was an excellent seamstress, cook and gardener. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her sons, Michael Robinson and wife Karen of Madison, MS, Scott Robinson and wife Marty of Bastrop, LA, David Robinson and wife Cindy of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, Chris Robinson and wife Jennifer, Jeremy Robinson, Kata Cascio, Luke Cascio, Dylan Robinson and wife Blair, Logan Robinson and wife Skyler, Matthew Robinson and wife Kelley, and Jessica Marie Robinson; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Gene “Sonny” Robinson; parents, Arthur Reid Berry and Jesse Denny Berry; sisters, Mary Katherine Berry and Dorothy “Dottie” Berry Jurey. Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Joiner, Devin Richards, Andy Richards, Jimmy Smith, Wayne Freeland and Mark Prater.
