Obituary of Dianne Bennett Starkey

Graveside funeral services for Dianne Bennett Starkey are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Justin Akers officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Starkey, a devoted, loving wife and mother, was self-employed at TDS Accounting service and passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the age of sixty-three. She was born January 22, 1958 in Shreveport, LA. In 1975 Mrs. Starkey graduated from Bastrop High School with an Equivalency Diploma. She later graduated from Phillips Junior College, Gulfport, MS with a Degree in Accounting. She is survived by her husband, James Starkey, Jr; son,Troy C. Welch and wife Melody; daughter, Jessica Starkey sister, Deborah Aldridge; nephew, Brandon Dupree and wife Christin; and their children, Brant Dupree and Bennett Dupree; grandchildren, Billy Goodman, Brandon Allen, Zackary Gooden, Ashley Allen; father and mother-in-law, James and Barbara Starkey. Mrs. Starkey is preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Nedra Bennett and a nephew, Bryce Conner Dupree. Dianne loved walking nature trails,antique store outings and had a great passion for hummingbirds. Dianne loved God and her family.
