Obituary of Glenn Wright

Funeral services for Mr. Glenn Wright are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Legg officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, beginning at 9 AM.
Mr. Wright, a resident of Sterlington, LA, was born in Chestertown, MD, April 1, 1967 and passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at the age of fifty-four. He was the owner of the UPS store in West Monroe, LA, and an avid LSU and Cowboys fan. Mr. Wright loved working in the garden, fishing, playing golf, boating, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sims Wright; daughter, Lauren Wright; mother, Nelda Wright; sister, Lori Alley and husband Dave; brothers, Tom Wright and wife Julie, Gary Wright and wife Ruth; nieces, Hannah Alley and Heather Alley; nephews, Jeffrey Wright, Matthew Wright, Marcus Wright and Wesley Wright; mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and host of cousins and other family and friends.
Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Wright; and brother, David Wright.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Brooks, Eddie Johnson, Kevin Ray, Ray Allen, Jake Houston, and John Laing.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Johnson and Caden Johnson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Asend Hospice, Dr. Byron Henry, and Glenwood Home Health.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Local ALS Foundation.
