Obituary of Richard Alan Day

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Alan Day, age 54, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Causey Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM, Monday, July 12 at Golden’s. Mr. Day, a control room operator for Entergy, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but spending time with his grand babies is what he loved most. He was well known for being a jokester and cut-up all the time. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Hope Day; daughter, Ashlea Day and friend Angel Montelongo; son, Adam Day and girlfriend Dakota Middlebrooks; siblings, Barbara Watt and husband Kenneth, Kenneth Wade Day and wife Wendy, Donna Gregory and husband Dewayne; grandchildren, Karsyn and Sutton Day, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Day is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Annie Day. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Gregory, Steven Gregory, Nick Day, Jimmy Watt, Chris Ogden and Logan Cain.
