My late husband, James, and I meet Ms Ida for the first time in 2014 when we began attending Horseshoe Baptist Church. At 90+ years old she was so vivacious and straightforward. She often sang solos, a cappella from memory. I was amazed at her ability to teach herself songs without a musical instrument, just note shapes, a lost art. She was an inspiration to us all.
