Obituary of Donnie E. Bulloch
Please share a memory of Donnie E. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On August 19, 2021, John Homer and Dorothy Bulloch greeted their son, Donnie Bulloch at Heaven’s gates, along with his dog, Molly, as he left this earth to join the angels. Donnie lived In Louisiana most of his life from March 3, 1949 - August 19, 2021.
Fifty plus years ago Bro. Andy Myrick joined this loving and completely smitten man in marriage to Brenda K. Bulloch. Brenda then gifted him with his three little fishing and hunting buddies, Shane, Scott, and Seth, passing on to them the true meaning of life along the way. Donnie saw them grow and mature into strong, supportive, and amazing men watching over them as they chose wives of their own, Tracy, Candy, and Jenni respectively; from these unions Tyler, Megan, Halie, Dalton, Colton, Caden, Aubrey, and Harleigh were born. In later years Donnie enjoyed his horses and training “his girls” in barrel racing. He enjoyed the outdoors, training rabbit dogs, telling amazing stories and old cars. He never met a stranger and made many lifelong friendships along the way. Donnie had a dry wit and funny sense of humor. He loved his God, his country and his family. He was proud to serve in the 1st CavC2/5 from August 6, 1968 - to August 1970 in the Vietnam War. Donnie’s life was like a rich tapestry woven with beautiful colors. His stories were many and just as colorful. He would be the first to say “don’t cry for me; the best is yet to be. I’ll be waiting for you, just as my mom and dad waited for me.”
Also left behind is his brother, Michael Bulloch and wife Connie of Holly Ridge, LA; sister, Lorri Stephenson and husband Steve of Bastrop, LA and his beloved dog, Chloe.
Preceding Donnie in death is his sister, Barbara Bulloch Westbrook; brother, Randall Bulloch; and granddaughter, Megan Bulloch.
Please join our family as we celebrate this amazing man’s life’s journey. Services are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Myrick, Bro. Paul Laird, and Sister Clelie Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jason Rea, Craig Rea, Kyle Hays, Brian Hays, Joel Hays, Brandon Bulloch.
