Funeral services for Mr. William Percy “Billy” Jones are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Jones, a member of First Baptist Sterlington, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of seventy-five. He loved teaching Sunday school, spending time with his grandbabies, and working and visiting at the Farmers Market. Mr. Jones served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was an avid Trump supporter.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jones; mother, Earsell Daniels; sister, Diane Morgan and husband Larry; children, Sheri Birdsall and Jeff Hanks, Stevie Jones and wife Ashley, Mikey Jones and wife Andrea; stepdaughter, Tara Dunham; grandchildren, Nikki Cox, Chelsea Birdsall, Robby Jones, Amanda Cowan, Haydon Smitty, Peyton Jones, Junior Jones, Dylan Dunham, Brantley Graves, Jacob Dunham, Skyla Ramshur, and Benji Ramshur ; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his father, W.H. “Dub” Jones; and stepson, Bo Dunham.
His grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
