Obituary of Robert Charles Williams

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Robert Charles Williams, age 95, of Bastrop, La., are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Christ Church Cemetery with Bro. Richard Gambill officiating. Mr. Williams passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. He was a retired employee of Texas Gas Company, member of First Baptist Church and a WWII Navy veteran. He also loved hunting, fishing and working in his yard. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Carolyn Ray Williams; sons, Dennis Williams and wife Mary Frances, Danny Williams and wife Stacy, Tommy Williams and wife Deb; grandchildren, Justin Williams and wife Erin Spires Williams, Jessica Williams Holcolm and husband Fred, Sandy Seymore and husband Billy, Luke Williams, Andy Williams, Chasten Langston and fiancé Emily Lambright, Chason Williams, Chance Williams; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; cousins, Phyllis and Don Dew, Donna and Bob Johnson, Jim and Gale Corley, John and Terry Hill, Steve and Lauralynn Norsworthy and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his grandson, Jessie Williams; sister, Estanna Tyler and brother in-law, Bill. Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons. Funeral services are under the direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop.
