Obituary of Nellie Brumley Prisock

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Brumley Prisock are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Ezra Cook and Bro. David Sistrunk officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9 from 1PM- 2 PM service time at Goldens Mrs. Prisock was very active in her community, working at many businesses including Ogden Cleaners, McDonalds, and Golden Funeral Home. She served as a minister in the Church of God faith for over fifty years and was an active Administrator of Shady Lake Nursing Home in Lake Providence. Mrs. Nellie also did alterations for the public and she imitated Minnie Pearl in the family skit, “Hee Haw”, Prisock style. She is survived by granddaughter, Pam Greer and husband Danny; great grandchildren, Eric Slade of Zachary, LA, Jessica Slade Young and husband Derek of Prairieville, LA, Krystal Watkins of Summerville, SC; great great granddaughter, Emery Young; sisters-in-law, Doris Johnston and Ruth Prisock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Prisock is preceded in death by her husband, David Prisock; parents, Alford and Myrtie Brumley; daughter, Josephine Slade Prichett; sisters, Beulah Zager, Lula Peacock, Mary Pecor; grandson, Dennis Slade; and sons-in-law, Carley Slade and Lynn Prichett. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Adam Sistrunk, Mark Sistrunk, Eric Slade, and Ricky Hester.
