Obituary of Larry Dale Whitehead

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Dale Whitehead are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at North Bastrop Church of God with Bro. David Sistrunk and Bro. Rodney LaForge officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1 PM - 2 PM service time at the church.
Mr. Whitehead, a retired educator, was born on October 5, 1945 and passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the age of seventy-six. He also served his country in the United States Army, then retiring as a CSM- United States Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel McKenzie Whitehead; daughters, Yvonne Deanine Montgomery, Sabrina Whitehead, LaBreeska Lewis and husband Darren; sons, Travis McKenzie Whitehead and wife Ashley, Lance K. Whitehead, Sr.; sister, Nancy Biggs; sister-in-law, Celie Whitehead; brother, Bobby Whitehead and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Jonathan Larkin White (Shena), Dalton Montgomery (Kami), Davyn McKenzie Whitehead, Annastyn Rose Whitehead, Audrey Kay Whitehead, Levi Wayne Whitehead, Chelsea Popejoy, Justice Whitehead and Luke Whitehead, Morgan Blades, Savannah Miller, Christopher Whitehead; great grandchild, Sawyer Larkin White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Whitehead is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Lee and Evon Whitehead; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Marie Whitehead, Ronnie and Mary Whitehead, Jimmy Whitehead; and brother-in-law, Earl Wayne Biggs; grandchildren, Lance K Whitehead, Jr. and Breanna "Bre Bre" Miller.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Rory Whitehead, Roy "Bubba" Whitehead, Jonathan Bader, Coulter Anderson, Steve Sistrunk, and Matthew Sistrunk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan L. White, Ben White, Dalton Montgomery, Davyn M. Whitehead, Jessie Watts, and Richard Doke.
