Obituary of Melvin E. McIntyre

Funeral services for Mr. Melvin E. McIntyre, age eighty-nine, are scheduled for 1 PM Monday, October 25, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Denny Polk officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 11 AM - 1 PM service time.
Mr. McIntyre, a member of Bonita Road Assembly of God Church, had retired from the oil field. He loved hunting, trapping, boxing, playing guitar and singing. Mr. McIntyre served his country in the United States Army in Germany.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie McIntyre; siblings, Jessie Lee “Dick” McIntyre, Frank Patterson “Snooks” McIntyre, Virgil McIntyre, Ray McIntyre, Myrtis McIntyre Tullos, Magdalene McIntyre, Marzelle McIntyre “Tood” Fife, Roy “Jack” McIntyre, John “Red” McIntyre, Jr.
Mr. McIntyre is survived by a sister-in-law, Bernice McIntyre and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Mike Fife, Bobby Guy Ray, Randy Hickman, Jr, Randy Hickman, Sr, Joe “Red” McIntyre, and Dan McIntyre.
