I was fortunate to have worked with Mr. Eddie at Bartons in Monticello. He was the example of a gentleman. I loved his wit, his humor and his mostly his friendship. I have many memories of Mr. Eddie that I will fondly cherish. My prayers to his family and friends. Although we will miss him, he is smiling and happily waiting for us to join him.

Eddie and Dottie Fair are the epitome of Christian life and Christian marriage. My family became friends with the Fair family in Monticello. Our families shared many life experiences together from church activities to baseball to Cub Scouts and many fun adventures. Too many to mention. I cherish those memories deeply. Eddie was always kind and gentle toward all people. He had a great smile and could give the best hugs. My heart aches for you, Dottie, as I truly know the heartache and loneliness ahead but I can honestly say that I don’t know anyone who has greater faith than you . May God bless you my friend with the peace that only He can provide. My love to Michael, Amie and Allen. Eddie leaves behind a wonderful legacy for his children and Grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Eddie was a very thoughtful and caring man. He and his wife Dottie made time to visit the elderly residents at the Arbor and Terrace in Bastrop. I was the Executive Director there for almost 4 years, they were very supportive and became my friend. Praying for Dottie and her family. He will be missed❤❤

I first met Eddie when he and Dottie moved to McGehee. My husband, Sammy Holt, and I had been married about a year as had Dottie and Eddie. We immediately became best friends. Eddie and Sammy enjoyed hunting together. A special memory is of the night they went frog gigging while Dottie and I watched the Academy Awards together.
Eddie was a perfectionist in all things, so it came as no surprise to me that he built a successful hobby of making walking sticks.
When Eddie volunteered to help Sammy paint the wood paneled walls of our apartment, he told Sammy he could paint the cracks only. Eddie would do the rest.
Sammy died in 1993. How I would have loved to have seen their reunion in heaven. Two finer Christian men I have never known. My prayers are with Dottie, Amie, Michael, and Alan.

Sending condolence to the family. Eddie has been a wonderful example in the community and for his family. May you all keep these memories in your hearts . Eddie and I were the same age and was in the first grade together as well as other classes. He and my cousin Dottie made a great team together and perfect examples in the community where we all lived and grew up as children.

Eddie and Dottie were life long friends and two of the best friends one could have. If you ever needed help, they were there fir you and they lived by Christian principles everyday. Yes, Eddie is walking in streets of gold with completely whole feet and no more diabetes. Dottie, May God hold you close and may you feel His comfort as we wait for God to carry all Christians home soon!
