Obituary of Roy Crymes

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Crymes are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Tillou Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Edwards and Bro. Taylor Freeland officiating. Interment will follow in LA Ark Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Crymes, a member of Tillou Baptist Church, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of eighty-five. He loved singing and was the lead singer for the Holly Ridge Boys Quartet for around thirty plus years. Mr. Crymes loved God, all of his family, especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren and farming.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Crymes; children, Malinda Adams and husband Rodney, Roland Crymes and wife Cindy, Rosetta Mercer and husband Freddy, Terry Crymes and wife Carla, Sonya Smith and husband Johnny; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Art Crymes; and sister, Joan Bryan.
Mr. Crymes is preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Zula Crymes; siblings, John Crymes, J.R. Crymes, Betty Everman, Marie Washam, Linda King, Gary Crymes, Franklin Crymes, Charles Crymes, Louise Crymes, and Bob Crymes; grandson, Jeremy Yates; and granddaughter, Brittney Crymes.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be sons and grandsons, Roland Crymes, Terry Crymes, Scott Mercer, Zac Crymes, Ryan Crymes, Wade Yates, Joshua Smith, Cody Crymes,, and Jarred Crymes.
A time of visitation will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5 PM - 8 PM at the church.
