Obituary of James Quitman "Rufus" Crumley

Funeral services for Mr. James Quitman “Rufus” Crumley are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Stover officiating. Interment will follow in Beekman Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday from 9 AM - 10 AM service time at Goldens.
Mr. Crumley, a truck driver, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at the age of seventy-one. He loved old trucks, riding motorcycles, and driving and working on 18 wheelers. He enjoyed watching his goats, playing with his dog “Hillary” but most of all he loved spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Crumley Turner and husband John of Monroe, LA; son, James Dexter Crumley of Bastrop, LA; brother, Willie D. Crumley and wife Beth of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Lane Crumley, Alexis Crumley, Annabel Turner; and his lady friend, Dorothy Atkinson.
Mr. Crumley is preceded in death by his parents, Ferrel and Lois Crumley; wife, Yeuvonnia “Voncie” Crumley; sister, Juanita Chain; brothers, Johnny Crumley, and Bud Crumley.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Troy Crumley, Stanley Guyweski, Earl Crumley, Hardy Chain, John Turner, and Lane Crumley.
Willie D. Crumley will serve as honorary pallbearer.
