Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Liner McDonald are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Britt Dupree officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, prior to the service, beginning at 9 AM.
Mrs. McDonald, a resident of Wagener, SC but a longtime resident of Bastrop, passed away December 6, 2021, at the age of seventy-three. She was a retired employee at Wackenhut Corporation and member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. McDonald loved gardening, reading, and especially working on Ancestry.
She is survived by her husband, James E. McDonald; daughter, Amy Adcock; son, Steven McDonald; sisters, Bertie Thomas, Sharalou Porter; brothers, Wayne Verrett, Quincy Doles; grandson, Michael Adcock; sister-in-law, Robbie McDonald Niegowski; and brother-in-law, Bruce McDonald.
Mrs. McDonald is preceded in death by her parents, John Liner and Ona Pearl Doles; daughter, Emily McDonald; and grandson, Matthew Adcock.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Doles, Sidney Jones, Daniel Thomas, Michael Thomas, Bruce McDonald, and Frank Lee.
