Funeral services for Mr. Wiley Graves, age 84, of Sterlington, LA are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Myrick and Bro. Bill Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9 AM until 11 AM, service time. Mr. Graves, a retired employee of International Paper Company for 43 and a half years, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was a member and deacon of Oak Hill Baptist Church and he served in the United States National Guard for nine years. He loved tending his yard and keeping it beautiful and he also enjoyed drinking coffee and fellowshipping at P.T.’s Eat-A-Bite every morning. He is survived by his wife, Willie Graves; sons, Mark Graves and wife Angel of West Monroe, LA, Rodney Graves and wife Coby of Bastrop, LA; niece, Georgia DeVille; nephew, Donald Tomlin; grandchildren, Morgan Graves Ziegler, Rebecca Palmer, Hannah Hester, Matthew Palmer, Lillie Grace Graves and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Graves is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Addie Graves; and sisters, Faye DeVille and Robbie Tomlin. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Crowe, Jerry DeVille, Hugh Herrington, Gary Guice, Sr., Chance Eppinette, David Massey, Eugene Mann and Kenneth Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer will be Lynn Eppinette. The family would like to give a special thank you to Passages Hospice for the care and compassion given to Mr. Graves.
