Obituary of Kenneth Lee (K.L.) Dement

Graveside services for Kenneth Lee (K.L.) Dement are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Kenneth Lee (K.L.) Dement died peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2021, at the age of ninety-four. He retired from International Paper Company as a supervisor in the Finishing and Shipping Department. Daddy lived a hard but happy life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friend, Lamar, and nephews, Royce and Carl, and a host of other friends. PT’s Diner was his favorite place for breakfast and always looked forward to seeing all of his friends there. Ya’ll know that K.L. was one of a kind. He was the best daddy anyone could ask for. Great News!! He did get saved!! Mr. Dement is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Phillips Dement; his son, Robert Lee Dement; grandson, Jeremy Ross Wallace; and brothers, Hubert Eldon and Owen Leslie Dement. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Dement Wallace and special friend Danny Barmore of Bastrop; step-son, Marvin Lyn Morse and wife Ruth of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Brent Morse, Marcia Morse, David Lyn Wallace, and Joshua Wallace; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Zelda, and Henry Wallace and very special, life-long friends, Lamar and Yvonne Belin and family.
