Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Jo Ellis are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 PM - 2 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Ellis passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of seventy. She was an animal lover and would rescue animals in need. She was a western girl through and through. Mrs. Ellis enjoyed playing Yahtzee and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for having a big heart and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Thomas, Thomas Ellis, Jr., Billie Jean Sturdivant and husband, Clem, and Hannah Marie Johnson and husband, Elijah; sisters, Alice Hutson, Jackie Gaspard, and Delois Daigle; grandchildren, Joshua James Ellis and wife, Cristy, Smokey Michael Hosea and wife, Alexis, Christopher Michael Thomas Ellis, Jacob Thomas Russell Ellis, DeAnna Marie Ellis, and C.J. Sturdivant; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Ellis, Sr.; parents, Houston Harris and Elsie Becker; brother, Doyle Harris; sister, Jeannie Hutson; and son-in-law, Carroll Thomas.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jacob, Josh, Smokey, Thomas, C.J., and Clem.
