Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Johnson Norsworthy are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, with Bro. Rubin Weaver, Bro. Stan Wyant, and Bro. Lance Norsworthy officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens. Mrs. Norsworthy, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the age of eighty-seven. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bastrop, where she served as a hostess for many years. Mrs. Norsworthy was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included making jewelry, scrap booking, cooking, going on any type of road trip, and shopping at flea markets. Mrs. Norsworthy’s love for her family was only exceeded by her love for her Lord Jesus. Mrs. Norsworthy is survived by her daughter, Lori Barton and husband Randy; sons, Maxey Norsworthy and wife, Candy, and Steve Norsworthy and wife, Lauralyn; brothers, Howard Johnson and wife, Pat, and Bob Johnson and wife, Dora; grandchildren, Lance Norsworthy, Katie Carpenter and husband, Randy, Lacey Norsworthy, Seth Norsworthy and wife, Brittney, and Molly Norsworthy; great-grandchildren, Drake Carter, Sophia Carpenter, Nate Smith, Riggs Norsworthy, and Brooklynn. She is preceded in death by her husband, Max Norsworthy; parents, Lawrence and Minnie Johnson; and brother, Lester Johnson. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Jody Johnson, Ricky Gross, Jake Johnson, Seth Norsworthy, and Randy Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Graham and Marion Johnson. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her neighbors and friends who so lovingly took care of Mrs. Margaret, to Dr. Cox and his staff, and to Haven Home Health nurses, Karen Diel and Stacey Christmas, for all their care in taking such good care of their loved one.
