Funeral services for Harold D. Dunn, age 87, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, January 28, 2022 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in Stevenson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM.
Mr. Dunn, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Dunn loved to travel, and was a member of the Holiday Ramblers Traveling Club with his wife, Willie. He loved working with his hands, tinkering with and building things.
He is survived by his brothers, Eddie Dunn, Kenneth Dunn and Jack Dunn; grandchildren, James “Blake” Canfield and wife, Elizabeth, Brittany Lauren Comeaux and husband Jamy; great grandchildren, Hudson, Holland and Helena Comeaux and Audrey, James “Crawford”, and Alexander Canfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dunn is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Dunn and Norma Moak; wife, Willie Freeland Dunn; sister, Bonnie; step-son, James E. Canfield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Dunn, Blake Canfield, Jamy Comeaux, Brian Dunn, Jason Dunn, Eddie Dunn, and David Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Dunn and Kenneth Dunn.
