Funeral services for Charles Rex “Charlie” Futch are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Camp Creek Baptist Church, Spearsville, LA, with Bro. Steve Hughes and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM. Mr. Futch, a member and deacon of Camp Creek Baptist Church, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of eighty-two. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished family above all. His love for family was surpassed only by his love for his Lord. Charlie’s passion was his work in the oilfield where he was a rig supervisor for Western Oceanic, and later retired from Pride Offshore. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Peggy Futch; daughter, Stacey Morris and husband, Terry; son, Steve Futch and wife, Tracy; sister, Betty Ridley and husband, Cecil; sisters-in-law, Faye Futch and Anne Futch; grandchildren, Nicole Auger and husband, Steve, Brandon Morris and wife, Stephanie, Justin Morris and wife, Hilary, Kaitlin Auger, Holli Abate and husband, Tyler, and Bethany Morris; great-grandchildren, Harper Futch, Emily Auger, Matthew Auger, Lauren Auger, Carter Morris, Ace Morris, Sullie Morris, Maya Morris, Mila Morris, Leland Thompson, Barron Thompson, Henleigh Thompson, Etta Kate Abate, and Elizabeth Abate; special in-laws, Gary and Deborah Johnson; cousin, Joy Holley, and numerous special nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Mr. Futch is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Georgia Futch; brothers, Glenn Futch and Max Futch; sister, Amaryllis Rainwater; and in-laws, Dan and Helen Green. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Keith Green, Greg Futch, David Henderson, Stanley Lenard and Jimmy Crumpton. Honorary pallbearers will be C.C. Garris, Kerry Lane Aulds, Billy Don Knowles, Greg Key, and John Roan.
