A memorial service for Mr. Mathey “Fat Mat” Dykes will be held at a later date. He passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of thirty-five. He loved music and was a singer and song writer. Music and his family were his passion. Mr. Dykes is survived by his father. Red Randy Dykes; daughters, Jacie Dykes, Oaklyn Dykes; aunts, Sarah Stewart, Sherry Ramshur, Susan Sharman; uncles, Gary Williamson and wife Janice, Ronnie Dykes and wife Sharon; sisters, Jackie Wade, Kaelyn Dykes; brothers, Damon Wade, Randall Dykes, Buster Dykes, Kipper Dykes; step mother, Karen "Pookie" Dykes; great aunt, Cathey McFadden Blissett and best friend, J.P. Halbrook. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shelia Dykes; brother, Charlie Dykes; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Jimmie Lois Coleman; paternal grandparents, Randolph Dykes and Janette Dykes Kirby; uncles, Ronnie Ben Ramshur, Jim Stewart, aunt, Shannon Johnston; special great uncle, Roscoe McFadden and cousin, Rachel Stewart.
