Jimmie was born in Tullos, LA, and lived his life in Bastrop. He began working for International Paper Company and soon after joined the army to serve our country in the 5th infantry in Germany during World War II from 1945 to 1947. After the war, he again worked for International Paper Company until his retirement. Jimmie attended the house of the Lord faithfully. Even at the age of ninety, he could always be seen driving his 1990 red Toyota truck and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips through the years. He especially loved raising yellow mouth cur hunting dogs.
We wish to thank Savannah Court of Bastrop for giving him a comfortable and happy living environment until the end. Also, a special love and appreciation to Dr. Carter Cox and staff for taking great care of him for so many years, as well as, Elara Caring for providing for his comfort and needs during his final days.
