My brother, Ken, and I wish to extend our sincerest condolences to Carol’s family….She will be truly missed. We did not communicate regularly but I always knew that when I reached out to her and called, she would be there to take the call - always cheerful, always happy to hear from me, always proud of her family, particularly her children and grandchildren. How wonderful to relive some beautiful parts of our life journey as young children in our conversations. I still recall visiting her decades ago when she was living in Riverside, CA. It was as if time stood still and we were kids again.
Carol and I were the best of friends growing up in Williston Park, New York. So many warm memories of times spent playing Candyland and cards in front of our Chinese laundry, munching candy from the store below her apartment, running after the Good Humor man whenever we heard the sound of the truck, eating food prepared by my mother, etc.
I will cherish the memories of time spent with my dear friend while living at 34 Hillside Avenue….Thank you, Carol, for being an integral part of my childhood and adolescence.
