He had lived in Mer Rouge, LA, for the last two years, but in his younger years he lived in Marion, LA, where he graduated from Marion High School. After graduation, Kelvin joined the United States Air Force. Later on in life, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved Country music and enjoyed fishing and fixing up old things to show they were still useful. Kelvin was an outlaw and a cowboy, living as a free spirit. He did what he wanted, when he wanted, and no one could tell him otherwise. If you knew Kelvin, you knew he was 230 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal. Kevlin was a good man and could make you laugh while aggravating you at the same time. He could make a mean pot of gumbo and knew his way around a grill. Kelvin was a generous man, always willing to give the shirt off his back. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. Kelvin is survived by his children, Joshua Kuykendall of Las Vegas, NV, Savannah Kuykendall of Dover, DE, and John Kuykendall of Las Vegas, NV; the mother of his children, Carol Kuykendall of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Karen Case of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Keith Kuykendall and Dennie Reppond both of Bastrop, LA; nieces, Jessica Parker (Robbie) and Jayce Reppond; nephews, Wade Reynolds and Jesse Reppond; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Verna Reppond; father, John Kuykendall; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Hazel Carpenter; and a special uncle, Claude Carpenter of Marrero, LA.
