Funeral services for Dorothy Faye “Sue” Jones Kennedy are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, July 1, 2022, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Jason Strong officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM. Mrs. Kennedy, a member of the Goodwill Church of God, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the age of sixty-nine. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Glenn Kennedy; children, Tina Warner and husband, Deagon, George “Eddie” Stanley and wife, Patricia, Michelle Brown and husband, Grady; brother-in-law, William Driver; grandchildren, Stephanie Callahan and husband, Brandon, Candice Dollar and husband, Phillip, Hunter Hawkins and wife, Savannah, Daelyn Warner, Gabriel Stanley and wife, Kayley, Layla Stanley, Kaitlyn Stanley, Dalton Willis, Amber Yates, Wyly Brown and wife, Bailey, Lauren Haman and husband, Austin, and Will Brown; thirteen great-grandchildren; uncle, Gerald Jones; aunt, Emma Styron; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was a fearless wife, mother, and grandmother. You never had to wonder what was on her mind because she’d gladly tell you and if it wasn’t with her words, you would definitely see it in her expression. She never held back when it came to what she thought, especially for those she loved most. The love she had for her family ran deeper than the ocean. She true matriarch of her family and she was gladly in charge of all the family get togethers. Her family all agrees that she was the glue that held our family tightly together. We don’t know how we’ll all carry on without her, but I know that she’d tell us all “it’ll be ok” and will be watching over us all from her forever home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Russell Jones and Katherine Joyce Jones; sister, Joyce Ann Driver; and brother, Robert Russell Jones. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Dalton Willis, Axle Dollar, Philip Dollar, Daegon Warner, Huntly Allred, and Brandon Callahan. Honorary pallbearers are Will Brown, Trason Callahan, Paxton Callahan, Clay DeWitt, Tony DeWitt, and Shanna Allred.
