Obituary of Clarence Howard "Sam" Johnson

Funeral services for Clarence Howard “Sam” Johnson are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Legg and Bro. Stan Wyant officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, prior to the service, beginning at 12 PM. Mr. Johnson, a retired welder/pipefitter for Koch Nitrogen, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the age of eighty-seven. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Johnson; daughters, Kim Brasher (Barry) and Tammy Johnson (Laura Cooper); stepsons, Mark Halterman (Darlene) and Richard Halterman (Liz); brother, Bob Johnson and wife Dora; grandchildren, Briley Cotton (Matt), Turner Brasher (Kirby), Robert Reid Brasher, Kenley Brasher, Tatum Brasher, Ian Hyde, Emma Hyde, Anna Halterman, Brad Halterman, and Billy Joe Halterman; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Ray Johnson (1908) and Minnie Odessa Pettis Johnson (1905); brother, Lester Johnson; and sister, Margaret Johnson Norsworthy. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Turner Brasher, Barry Brasher, Ian Hyde, Matt Cotton, Mike Johnson, Cole Johnson, Jody Johnson and Seth Norsworthy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Passages Hospice for the love and care they gave to Mr. Johnson.
