Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Irby Mercer, age 85, are scheduled for 10 AM, Monday, July 11, 2022 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9 AM until 10 AM, service time. Interment will be in Redwing Cemetery.
Mrs. Mercer, a resident of Bastrop, was an active member of First Assembly of God. She was always seen as a woman who lived life to the fullest and a friend to many people, she also loved to travel. She loved working in her yard and was very proud of her beautiful flowers. She was a very outgoing person and loved being around other people.
She is survived by her children, Myra Kandice DeMoss and husband Duane, Theresa Lynne Tackett and husband Rickey, Larry Dewayne Mercer, Cynthia Dawn Lemoine and husband Mike; grandchildren, Angela Dee Rowan and husband Brian, Brad Neal DeMoss and wife Jennifer, Joey Keith DeMoss and wife Tiffany, Chad Tackett and wife Ellen, Kristy Rainwater and husband Cliff, Christopher Lemoine, Trey Lemoine; great-grandchildren, Justin Howell, Joyce Ann Word, Abby Word, Joesph DeMoss, Maverick DeMoss, Aidan Rainwater, Abbygail Rainwater and Kara Tackett.
Mrs. Mercer is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Holder Irby and Myra; her brothers and sisters and her son, Roger Mercer.
