Memorial graveside services for Mr. Jay Kitchens, age fifty-nine, will be held at 1 PM Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Carter Cemetery with Bro. Mike Loveday officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Kitchens was a retired Lawncare and Retail Salesman. He was an avid gardener and yard enthusiast who enjoyed working with his flowers and plants.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lanay Black; son, Brandon Kitchens; step-mother, Phyllis Kitchens; brothers, Michael “Mike” Kitchens and wife Emma Lou, Steve Kitchens and wife Ann; grandchildren, Alexis Laing, Lacey Kitchens, Brandon Kitchens, Brayden Kitchens, Donna Kitchens, Alaina Kitchens, and Elaina Kitchens.
Mr. Kitchens is preceded in death by his father, Arvell Kitchens; mother, Betty Wyatt Kitchens; sons, Michael Kitchens, Brian Kitchens; daughter, Tabatha Kitchens; and brother, Derek Kitchens.
