Funeral services for Randy Dewaynne Porter are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Carter-Nicholson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, August 15, 2022, from 5 PM - 8 PM at Goldens. Randy Dewayne Porter was born in Monroe, LA, to loving parents, Ralph and Cindi Porter. Growing up Randy was full of life and was always into something. He loved his family and food, but most of all, getting new toys so he could take them apart to see how they worked. He loved going to work at Bastrop House Moving with his dad every chance he got. Randy had a love for his family and friends starting at a very young age. He has a loving wife and 4 children that he loved dearly. His wife and kids were his pride and joy. Randy also adored his two nieces, Annabelle and Scarlett. He always treated them as his own and loved them unconditionally. Randy was a welder for Furnace and Tube and LA Construction, he also worked for several other companies welding. Randy had a passion for welding since he was young. He always loved to be in the shop with his dad growing up, learning to weld. Randy is survived by his wife, Jennifer Porter; parents, Ralph and Cindi Porter; dog, Baby Porter; children, Skylar, Christopher, Olivia, and Sawyer; sister, Christine Ouellette and husband, Derek (children, Annabelle and Scarlett), Tierra Porter and Robby Jones (daughter, AnneMarie), David Porter (daughter, Lauren), Misty Paxton and husband, Donnie (children, Teresa and Raeleigh); grandmother, Leatrice Autlman; and special memaw Pam Lee. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Archie Aultman; grandparents, Willis Lee “Buck” and Martha Porter; uncles, Mark Aultman, Dean Porter, and Scott Marienau. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Team Gleason for ALS at 2021 Leakshore Dr. Suite 120 - New Orleans, LA, 70122. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Premier Hospice, Mary Ellen Kennedy, Patsy Frith, and Bro. Allan Eppinette for their special love and care. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Ouellette, Robby Jones, Nick Young, Kegan Bretton, Christopher Porter, and David Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be Gavin Watts, Sawyer Porter, Cody Walker, Charles Owens, Archie Aultman, Matt St. Jacques, and Shaun West.
