Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Odell Brock Matthews, age 85, are scheduled for 12, noon on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Goldens.
Mrs. Matthews, a retired seamstress at Ogden Cleaners, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was an avid reader and she loved traveling and sight-seeing.
She is survived by her children, Frank Brock and wife Sandra of Alma, AR Theresa Westmoreland of Visalia, CA, Tammie Fatheree and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA, Sharon Gregory and husband Burl of Bastrop, LA, Patty Dye and husband John of Virginia Beach, VA, Janie Bader of Bastrop, LA; step children, Brian Matthews and wife Christy Renee', Randy Matthews and wife Chassittie, Angela Allen and husband Ricky, Michael Matthews; sister, Rose Harris and husband James of Bastrop, LA; seventeen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Matthews is preceded in death by her husbands, Truman Brock and Odis Matthews; daughters, Linda Harris and Betty Jo Matthews; brother, Willie Joe Chapin; three sisters, Margie Wooden, Lucille Coleman and Betty Gee.
