Funeral services for Tena Jones are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, September 9, 2022, at New Life Church, with Bro. Jerry Stuckey and Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5 PM - 7 PM at New Life Church.
Mrs. Tena, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at the age of fifty-seven. She retired from Lowes after twenty years as the Receiving Manager and was the owner/manager of Leon’s Small Engine since 2004. Mrs. Tena was a member of New Life Church and also attended Bonne Idee Assembly. She enjoyed doing her arts and crafts, and loved her kids, grandkids, and her dog, Prissy. To know Mrs. Tena was to love her. She greeted everyone with a smile and had a way of making everyone feel special. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
Mrs. Tena is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Jones; parents, Charles and Marie Ray; son, Daniel Jones and wife Megan; daughter, Shelby Smith and husband Hunter; brothers, DeWayne Bagby and wife Barbara, and Carlus Bagby and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Lyndonn, Ashtynn, and Audrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Josephine Lisonbee and Minnie Bagby; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Robinson, Clay Robinson, Ryan Robinson, Corey Robinson, Wade Robinson and Greg Musgrove. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Musgrove and Stanley Brantley.
