Obituary of Michael Darrell Church

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Darrell Church are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, October 1 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Loveday and Bro Morgan Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10 AM until 11 AM, service time, at Goldens. Mr. Church was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved spending time with his friends and family. He was known as “Uncle Monkey” to many, especially his nephews, Carter and Micah. He loved to tinker and repair any kind of motor he could get his hands on. One of his passions was driving! He could drive anything, from 2 wheels to 18 wheels. He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Church; brother Nathaniel Church; grandmothers, Hazel Carter and JoAnn Church; grandfather, Carl Church; nephews, Carter and Micah Church and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Church is preceded in death by his father, Greg Church and his grandfather, Floyd Carter, Sr. Serving as pallbearers will be Maurice Robinson, John Carter, Jr., Daniel Carter, Clayton Church, Clifton Rainwater and Joe Rainwater, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Arthur Carter.
