Obituary of Billy DeWayne Bagby

Funeral services for Billy DeWayne Bagby are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, November 12, 2022, at New Life Church with Bro. Joey Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove South Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Golden’s. DeWayne was a resident of Bastrop, LA, and passed away November 9, 2022 at the age of 60. He was employed in the oil field industry for 38 years, holding several positions until he had to resign, due to health issues. DeWayne enjoyed having fun, aggravating the WHOLE family and spending time with his grandchildren, but out of all things he enjoyed, eating was what he enjoyed the most. DeWayne didn’t meet a stranger and had a heart of gold. He will be missed dearly by the ones that knew him. DeWayne is survived by his wife, Barbara Bagby; parents, Billy Wayne and Ginny Bagby, Charles and Marie Ray; sons, Ollie Bagby and wife, Christina, Michael Milstead and wife, Lauren; daughter, Stacy Yeldell and husband, Brad; brother, Carlus Bagby and wife, Tracy; seven grandchildren, Olivia, Colttan, Rylan, Cailey, Baer, Memphis, and Rush; along with numerous extended family members that were very special to him. He is preceded in death by granddaughter, Madison Rene Jackson Bagby; sister, Tena Jones; grandparents, Bill and Josephine Lisonbee and Ollie and Minnie Bagby. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Philley, Jody Philley, Jessie Philley, Jason Bagby, Daniel Jones, Hunter Smith, Billy Joe Hickman and Danny Ray Jones The family would like to thank: Dr. Jeffery M Hilbun & team.
