Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Stephenson Cemetery - Rayville, LA. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon.
Mrs. Gwin, a resident of Mer Rouge, LA, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at the age of ninety-seven. She was a member of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed fishing, quilting, woodworking, and craft work. Mrs. Gwin was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Leathia Guice; sons, Jack Gwin and wife, Glenda, Ronald Gwin and wife, Pat, and Michael Gwin; sisters, Geneva Britton, Carra Duncan, Laura Mae Myers, and Elaine Sims; brother, J.L. McKnight; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Gwin is preceded in death by her husband, Odis Gwin; son, Thomas Gwin and his wife, Betty; sister, Eva Ezell; brothers, Edward McKnight and Clifton McKnight; and son-in-law, Jarrell Guice.
Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Rawls, Tyler Rawls, Benny Odom, David Barton, and Caleb Ragsdale.
